Hi bigjus!
I will try to explain the puzzle. This is the first time I have seen SD use this puzzle and it was very interesting. Click on the globe and notice that the red push pin is on the 30 line. The globe gives us a clue that we are using latitude and longitude to find the solution. The push pin gives us the first number with a latitude of 30. Unfortunately, the longitude number is not provided and we have calculate for it. To find the longitude we need to determine the value of the lines that are perpendicular to the equator. The numbers are marked reading from right to left as 30, 60, 90, 120 and 150. Our push pin is on an unmarked line between 90 and 120. We first need to find the interval between each line. So, subtract 90 from 120 and then divide by 2. 120-90=30. 30/2=15. Now add 15 to 90 to solve for the longitude. 90+15=105. Combine the latitude and longitude for the solution 30105.

I get you, bigjus :)!

I'm notoriously bad at math. I think it's a wiring issue: I see numbers and my brain just freezes.

Many times*, I can can find a solution by skipping the brain number gymnastics and just use logic and visualizations.

In this case, I saw that the pin without a number was halfway between 90 and 120. So, the number I needed was half way between: 105. [cheat]: I used a tape measure to visually verify my result.

*Other times, I have no idea how to solve a math problem and don't attempt any math at all, but the answer just pops into my head. No idea why the answer is right or how I know it -I only know if I stop focusing on the math problem, I know the answer. (if only that worked for winning big lotteries 8) )

Happy gaming!
